Studies have shown that the sweat from a traditional sauna is comprised of 97% water and 3% toxins, while the sweat produced in an Infrared Sauna is 80% water and 20% heavy metals, pesticides, cholesterol, nicotine, alcohol and other residues.
Lying in an infrared sauna you don’t feel overly hot as it is your body core that is being heated, not the surrounding air. After 10 minutes or so you will start to sweat, and may notice that your heart rate increases. At the same time, the tiny blood vessels in your skin open up, so the overall effect on your cardiovascular system is to improve the circulation, decrease the blood pressure and lower cholesterol.
